Counseling for Anxiety and Depression
Clients experiencing anxiety and depression will be given suggested coping strategies and taught how to use the strategies that best suit the client’s need and interest and identify triggers to better manage their symptoms. Strategies are based on Cognitive Behavior Therapy and range from deep breathing to guided imagery. Therapeutic lifestyle changes such as diet and exercise are encouraged and for those interested in integrating their faith in the healing process, scripture and prayer are used.
In addition to learning how to cope with the daily symptoms of anxiety and depression, clients who choose to, will explore and gain an understanding of the root cause of their symptoms. Learn more at adaa.org/understanding-anxiety/depression.
